In his postgame comments, the Seattle manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Conrado... he did an outstanding job today."

He has played in 138 games and scored 84 times. |  | Thursday, September 14th, 2017: Injury Takes Toll, Jowett Out 2 Weeks The Oakland Athletics will lose the services of second baseman Randy Jowett after he sustained a inguinal hernia while running the bases in today's game against the Texas Rangers. When asked about the injury, he took a philosophical approach. "Worse things can happen in life," Jowett said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for the next 2 weeks.
